What is the consultation process?

The consultation process involves meeting Dr Hiba and addressing your concerns. She will then evaluate your condition and you will be able to familiarize yourself with the current facilities so that you feel comfortable proceeding to the next step.

What can I expect after surgery?

Your nose will be blocked after surgery and you will be slightly bruised under both eyes. The bruises depend on your skin type and the nature of the procedure. Pain is usually minimal and well controlled with Panadol or over the counter pain killers.

Where will I be treated?

You have the choice to be treated in Bahrain at King Hamad University Hospital, Awali Hospital or in London at Princess Grace Hospital.

Will my medical insurance pay for rhinoplasty?

It all depends on the individual insurance policy. Generally speaking, the medical insurance companies don’t cover cosmetic procedures, unless your rhinoplasty is for funtional reasons (however, your case should be discussed with your insurance provider).

Will I have visible scars?

If your rhinoplasty is performed through an open approach, then a small scar under your nose tip will be visible for the first few months after surgery. This can be camouflaged with make-up, and will be hardly visible after 12 months.
